10x14 canvas print of this Kallan Stout Designs painting
This painting started back in 2025 and now I can finally share it! it was commissioned to be the art for local women’s ACTS retreat. 
They asked me to paint the Holy Trinity, no pressure, right!?😅 it is a subject that I’ve never tried to capture before. It’s complicated as a concept and even more intimidating as a painting.
I kept coming back to the image of Michelangelo‘s Creation of Adam-you know the one on the roof at the Sistine Chapel. In Michelangelo‘s painting, God is surrounded by this pink cloth that represents His all knowingness (like the cross-section of a brain). he is reaching out towards Adam, but Adam responds quite lazily. 
I really wanted to contrast that with the response of Christ, a completely different posture that submits fully to the will of the Father. 
I could share more on my reflection of this, but when it comes to talking Trinity, I think I’m in over my head. I hope the art speaks for itself and that those women had an amazing weekend!
